This is a set of variations, written as an entertaining Test Piece of around 13 mins duration, based around the popular him tune Diademata, associated with the words "Crown Him With Many Crowns".

The music weaves its way through a series of variations based on motifs from the melody, although the main theme is not heard in its entirety until the end of the piece when it is sounded in all its triumphant glory. There are opportunities for soloists and sections to feature throughout.

Although it is a test piece, this musicwould make a great addition to any concert and is recommended for bands of Section 2 and above.
