An arrangement of the classic work from Handel's "Messiah", the famous oratorio composed by him in 1741.

The first part of the oratorio is based around the prophecy of Isaiah. In this chorus the text is taken from the book of Isaiah in the Bible, specifically Chapter 9 verse 6 which reads:

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This is a wonderfully uplifting piece of music arranged for brass band which can be used both in your Christmas concerts or, indeed at any other time of the year.

Suitable for more advanced bands or as a challenge for more ambitious lower section bands!
